The Institute is Solidare social organization, nonprofit, which was born from an initiative of the Baptist Church in Coqueiral along with local community leaders, as an alternative to dealing with social and economic problems experienced by these communities.
The actions of the Institute are concentrated in three (03) Pernambuco municipalities, namely: Recife, where it serves the neighborhoods of Coqueiral, Curado, Sancho, Tejipio and Toto; Knight District in the city Jaboatão dos Guararapes and the District of St. Lazarus , city of Panelas in Central Agreste Pernambuco, inserted in the Brazilian semiarid region.
Focusing on social assistance, notably in the axes of social and familial and social and educational development in an open environment, the Solidare Institute, along with its partners and beneficiaries form a large network of solidarity in the fight against social and economic vulnerability of the target communities.
In addition to helping school age children, Instituto Solidare also assists people from the age of 15-25 and provides vocational training. This helps minimize unemployment and gives many young people a new perspective. In a period of about 12 months, 900 people could be qualified.
